After a successful SFGA British Columbia Trip last year, our Ocean Ridge Plantation friends, Tom & Nancy O’Connell, asked us to organize another golf trip to British Columbia planned for August 20-29, 2027. We’ll visit Vancouver & Whistler – two of Canada’s most popular destinations. Participants fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR), spend 2 nights at the Delta Suites by Marriott Downtown Vancouver with one day touring, continue north to Whistler for six nights at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort, awarded in 2025 as Condé Nast Traveler: Reader’s Choice #1 Resort in Canada. We will play four rounds of golf and enjoy a free day of leisure in Whistler. Then spend one more night at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel, conveniently located in the Vancouver International Airport Terminal, providing super easy access to airline check-ins and departure gates.
This trip checks all the boxes! Two of North America’s most picturesque cities, Vancouver and Whistler, offer stunning pacific coastal and mountain beauty. August is a great time to travel since the weather is lovely with average temps in the 70’s & 80’s. The courses we play are among the very best in Canada. Leave the driving to us. There is no need for a rental car on this trip, your golf, hotel, and airport transfers are all included. The village of Whistler offers loads of dining, drinking and shopping options. The golf courses are close to the resort and offer picturesque layouts with lush green mountain backdrops. And the weather is ideal! For those who have not traveled to British Columbia, we travel from Vancouver to Whistler and back you may notice that some of the license plates include a slogan that reads: Beautiful British Columbia.
