Circling Raven offers a variety of well planned, thought provoking holes. The course is always in top notch condition from tees to greens. And it is a track where you'll see no houses, so you can enjoy the nature and golf - just as it should be!
Sensitively placed amid 620 rambling acres of lush forested meadows and carefully preserved wetlands of the sun-blessed Coeur d'Alene recreation area, Circling Raven was designed by famed golf course architect Gene Bates to blend with nature, not compete against it. There are certain experiences in golf that can't be measured by a scorecard. The feeling of being the only group on the course, the sighting of a moose near the fifth hole, the joy of watching your drives soar against the backdrop of one of America's premier mountain retreats, all this is yours to experience at Circling Raven Golf Club. Circling Raven features solid holes, a stout challenge, and no gimmicks. Often compared to the Coeur d'Alene Resort due to the close proximity, the courses couldn't be more different. With a drivable par 4, GPS carts, modern clubhouse, split fairway par 4, beautiful scenery and one of the toughest par 3s you'll ever meet - Circling Raven offers something for everyone. Circling Raven Golf Club was voted North Idaho’s Best Course and a Golf Digest Top 100 Course. Not only is this championship golf course one of the best in the surrounding area, it also offers some of the most scenic beauty. We think our SFGA members will love it!
Tentative Itinerary:
There are countless activities for you to discover at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. From farmers’ markets and art exhibits to sunset cruises and food celebrations(check out Gooeys) to world class fishing and outdoor adventure—fun is always right around the corner.

These scenic cruises provide opportunities to view secluded lakefront homes of celebrities and sports stars. Visit one of the most unique and challenging golf holes, the world's only floating, movable island green, reachable only by boat. Daily scenic cruises, Sunset Dinner Cruises, Sunday Brunch Cruises and River Cruises along the St. Joe and Spokane River, include informational and historical narration. The Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruise fleet departs daily from The Coeur d'Alene Resort all summer long.

The soothing warm water is the perfect end cap to your workout routine or long day.
Gooey's Dessert Bar – Desserts at the Coeur d'Alene Resort are important, so much so that they opened a Gooey's Dessert Bar. Founders Duane Hagadone and Jerry Jaeger scoured the country to find the best parts of desserts from every corner. Mr. Hagadone came up with the name “Gooey.” He explained that every dessert needed to be oversized, gooey and so good, you don’t want to put your spoon down. Since the inception, Gooey's has become a North Idaho staple. Some Signature Gooey’s, like the Butterfinger Hot Fudge Gooey and the Royal Cheesecake Gooey, have been around for years, and have cemented their place on the menu. These treats are made for sharing, but you won’t want to. Gooey's Dessert Bar is located next to the Dockside Restaurant in the main lobby at the Coeur d'Alene Resort.

With more than four times the number of linked progressives compared to other area casinos, their progressive jackpots accrue rapidly to life-changing large max payouts, why would you play anywhere else? Back in 2015 we took the SFGA to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and it turned out to be one of the best trips we've ever done. We've had quite a few members ask us about returning so we decided to add the Coeur d'Alene Golf Adventure to our event calendar for 2022. We'll stay at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, in quaint downtown Coeur d'Alene, which offers over 100 unique shopping, dining & entertainment venues just steps away from the resort. Coeur d'Alene has become known as the Lakeside Playground of the Pacific Northwest for five star amenities in a stunning natural setting. We are excited to return to this first rate destination.
The Coeur d’Alene Resort is located in northern Idaho, on the north shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, acclaimed by National Geographic as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. In the years since their inception in 1986, the Resort has grown into a top travel destination for visitors from near and far and they are proud to be considered one of the very best resorts in the USA. In addition to the world-famous golf course featuring the world’s only floating green, amenities include the Coeur d’Alene Resort Spa, convention facilities, a marina, a fitness center and pools, shops, and various restaurants and nightlife—all featuring excellent service, incredible views, and an emphasis on the beautiful natural surroundings.
Our participants should fly into Spokane International Airport(GEG). The airport is about 45 minutes west of Coeur d'Alene and your transfer is included as part of our package. We also include the transfers to/from Circling Raven Golf Course. We mention this because we recommended renting a car the last time we did this trip. But not this time, your transfers will be included!
Among the hotel's five restaurants is Beverly's, an upscale venue serving Northwestern fare with beautiful views of the lake. The adjacent lounge serves wine, and live jazz plays on the weekends. Diners at Cedars restaurant float on the lake while enjoying local classics. Breakfast is available, but is not included with room rates in most packages. The large indoor pool has windows along one wall allowing for plenty of natural light, and huge columns in the water span the length of the pool. Lounge chairs allow for relaxing poolside, and there's a hot tub as well. An outdoor infinity pool by the lake is open during the summer. The hotel's 6,803-yard, par-71 golf course has a famous floating green and lake views from all 18 holes.
Treatments at the attractive spa focus on Northwestern natural elements such as stones, lavender, spruce, and cedar. Among the treatments are massages, facials, body therapies, and salon services. A lovely relaxation area with a fireplace overlooks the lake. The hotel's roomy fitness center has all of the necessary up-to-date equipment overlooking the indoor pool. If you are interested in exploring the Lake Coeur d'Alene, several cruises are offered. Other activities include biking, water sports, fishing, and hiking excursions. The hotel has its own shopping area and is just steps away from many local shops, restaurants and pubs.

It began with a flash of inspiration—a man walking his dog, gazing out at a tugboat towing a raft of logs on Lake Coeur d’Alene had the vision for a golf hole unlike any other. In 1991, the first ball was struck onto the 14th Hole, the world’s only Floating Green, and Duane Hagadone's vision was on its way to becoming one of the most memorable icons in golf. The Coeur d’Alene Resort has spared nothing to deliver the ultimate golf experience, once described as “America's Most Beautiful Resort Golf Course” by Golf Digest. As a golfer, your experience begins with a thrilling high-speed ride in a sleek mahogany boat, whisking you across the waters of Lake Coeur d’Alene to a land of meticulously manicured fairways—and that's just the beginning. Gorgeous lake views on nearly every hole await, with every feature—from hole design to luxury carts and personalized forecaddie service—all expertly curated and attended to.
This is, quite simply, a golf experience like no other.
